A few weeks back a report hit the news wires claiming actor Robert Pattinson landed the role of Bruce Wayne and Batman. However, there were conflicting reports claiming it was down to Pattinson and actor Nicholas Hoult, so nothing was confirmed.
Until now.
According to Variety, who has confirmed this with Warner Bros., Pattinson has signed on the dotted line to star in writer/director Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN movie. The deal is said to be a 3-picture deal.
The movie is reportedly the first of a new trilogy of Batman films by Reeves, and he wanted a younger actor in the role. THE BATMAN will begin filming late this year or, at the latest, early 2020 for its June 25, 2021 release date.
