AVENGERS: ENDGAME Passes TITANIC to Become the Second Highest Grossing Movie Worldwide

AVENGERS: ENDGAME has a chance at surpassing AVATAR for the top movie worldwide in box office grosses... but it will not be an easy task to achieve.

In its second weekend of release, Endgame took in an estimated $145 million domestically. It fell just short of the second weekend record set by STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS with $149 million, in 2015.

So far, Endgame has amasses over $619 million domestically. This places it in ninth place right behind STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI ($620M) and THE AVENGERS ($623M). Endgame will pass up both of these films today and while it may struggle to overtake the top spot held by The Force Awakens and its $936 million domestically,  it should manage to pass over AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR ($678M) and BLACK PANTHER ($700M) at the end of this upcoming weekend.

Overseas, Endgame took in an additional $282 million putting its International total over $1.5 billion.

Worldwide, AVENGERS: ENDGAME is officially the No. 2 movie worldwide in box office sales moving past TITANIC ($2.187B) with $2.188 billion.

AVATAR sits at No. 1 on the all-time worldwide charts with $2.78 billion which is why Endgame will have a tough time achieving this goal since it still needs over $600 million worldwide in the coming weeks where more competition is hitting theaters this weekend starting with DETECTIVE PIKACHU and the following weekend with JOHN WICK 3.

But there is definitely a chance at it happening.
