Cartoon Network's RICK & MORTY animated series is heading toward its Season 4 launch hopefully some time during this calendar year, yet one of the new season's writers has already moved to a new job. You may not have heard of Michael Waldron, but he has landed a godly gig with Marvel Studios and Disney+.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Waldron will be the showrunner for Marvel Studios' LOKI steaming series. Waldron will serve as series' creator, executive producer, and write the pilot episode.
Actor Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as the God of Mischief and THR sources hinted what the series synopsis might be:
"Sources say the show will follow Loki as the trickster and shapeshifter pops up throughout human history as unlikely influencer on historical events."
LOKI will exclusively be for the new Disney+ streaming service that launches later this year.
