X-FORCE Movie Will be Written and Directed by Drew Goddard

Fox has been developing an X-FORCE movie for several years, but it wasn't until DEADPOOL hit big in the box office when the movie really started getting serious looks from the studio. Back in January, word hit how DEADPOOL 2 would be sort of a pipeline to an X-FORCE film by setting up a few plot and story points for the Black Ops version of an X-Men team. Then, in March, news broke that Deadpool would headline the X-FORCE team-up movie along with Cable, who is being introduced in DEADPOOL 2.

Now, Deadline brings word that Drew Goddard will write and direct the violent, R-rated X-FORCE movie. Goddard wrote THE MARTIAN as well as helped bring DAREDEVIL to Netflix as its creator and writer of its first two episodes; so this movie looks to be in good hands.

As far as who will be on the roster, it will obviously feature Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool and Josh Brolin's Cable but outside of these two it is really up in the air. Creator of Deadpool, Cable, Domino and the X-Force, Rob Liefeld, seems to have confirmed Domino will be in it.

The Black Ops version of the team in the comics did have X-23, Archangel, Psylocke, Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Warpath, etc. .... so the roster possibilities are endless here.
