Director Matt Reeves Teases THE BATMAN as a "Noir Driven Detective" Movie

This fall Batman fans will see actor Ben Affleck don the cape and cowl again as he puts together a team of superheroes in JUSTICE LEAGUE. After that fans have to wait for the Matt Reeves helmed THE BATMAN movie.

Reeves is currently promoting his latest movie, WAR OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, yet he has teased what sounds like a Batman movie fans have wanted to see for a very long time... an actual "World's Greatest Detective" Batman movie.

Reeves said the following to New Trailer Buzz, via Batman-News:

“There’s a chance to do an almost noir driven, detective version of Batman that is point-of-view driven in a very very powerful way, that will hopefully connect you to what’s going on inside of his head and inside of his heart."

Yes! Yes 1000-times over because the detective part of past Batman movies has more-or-less been missing. THE BATMAN is still in the early stages of development and probably won't been seen in theaters until 2019.
