WTF BATMAN? New Rumor Says Ben Affleck Wants Out Completely

Welcome to your next dose of Batman rumors. With all the rumors surrounding THE BATMAN movie lately, it's time to start each of these posts by stating... "WTF Batman?"

This new rumor is from Collider Movie Talk, whose host, John Campea, straight up says this is not a scoop and to not spread this information around. Then, against all logic of his own disclaimer, he goes on to talk about what he's heard from his alleged insiders.

"Take this for what it's worth. This is from a guy who has been burned twice by scoops, so please take this with a massive, massive grain of salt. Over the past four days, I've talked to three separate people, who are connected in some way, to what is going on over at Warner Bros. What all three have told me, nothing about whether the script was thrown out or whether they liked the script, nothing about the direction that Matt Reeves is taking it in, nothing about that. What has come out of the conversation with all three was this. They're telling me that, Ben Affleck, make no mistake, he does want out. He doesn't want to be Batman anymore. I have been told that Affleck is talking with Warner Bros. in an attempt to get out of being Batman. If they do not let him out of being Batman, that the stand alone Batman film that ultimately happens, will be the last time we see Affleck as Batman, because he apparently wants out."

The lesson here is that if you're in the press / media and you you hear some juicy info about an upcoming movie but you're not sure if it is true or not, then do not say anything. Otherwise, no matter how much you beg your audience to not spread it around, it will in fact spread. Fast.

If he didn't want this to spread online, then he shouldn't have said a damn thing about it at all, or at least until he was more confident with putting the info like that out into the digital realm. This is why we here at don't publish everything we hear from our behind the scenes sources and insiders because our credibility is more important than getting views and web clicks. But if you say it, especially if someone prefaces their info with a disclaimer saying it's not a scoop or news, then it will be shared across the web.

Hey Warner Bros. ... how about saying something / anything to stop the rumor mill for churning out all this drama. Because if there's one thing you don't need more of with your DC super hero movies, it's drama talk like this.
