Warner Bros. is Developing a NIGHTWING Movie

Just in case you've been off-the-grid and didn't know, Warner Bros. is in the Batman business. The DC superhero has brought in over $2.3 billion in the worldwide box office and he is the studio's second biggest grossing franchise behind their Harry Potter franchise.

So it makes sense that the studio is turning to their next Batman-related franchise NIGHTWING as a feature film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE director Chris McKay is in talks to helm NIGHTWING and it will be written by THE ACCOUNTANT screenwriter Bill Dubuque.

As Batman's trusty sidekick, Dick Grayson grows up to become Nightwing in the comics and this would be his first movie. NIGHTWING joins THE BATMAN, GOTHAM CITY SIRENS and SUICIDE SQUAD 2 as Batman-influenced movie projects all in some stage of development right now at Warner Bros.
