AQUAMAN: Warner Bros. Reportedly in Final Talks For Villain Black Manta and Mother Roles

While Warner Bros. and DC Films' THE FLASH is in development chaos after losing two directors in 2016 — and now getting a full re-write — the studios are full steam ahead with AQUAMAN. According to The Hollywood Reporter , the James Wan developed and directed DC Extended Universe solo movie starring Jason Momoa is reportedly in final talks with actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II for the villain role of Black Manta.

Also per THR, Nicole Kidman is in talks for the role of Aquaman's mother.

If Abdul-Mateen II and Kidman land these roles they will join Momoa, Patrick Wilson (as Aquaman's half-brother Orm), Amber Heard (Mera) and Willem Dafoe (Dr. Vulko).
