Woody Harrelson Reportedly Targeted For Mentor Role in HAN SOLO Star Wars Spin-Off Movie

ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY is dominating the worldwide box office right now — it's already amassed over $800 million and is about to open in China on January 6. But in the coming weeks Lucasfilm's HAN SOLO standalone movie will begin filming for its 2018 release.

According to Variety, actor Woody Harrelson is reportedly being eyed for the spin-off movie as young Han's mentor. While the report does not specifically state anything beyond being his mentor, it is assumed he will be the one who teaches Han the craft of smuggling.

If he lands the role, Harrelson will join Alden Ehrenreich (Han), Donald Glover (Lando Calrisson), Emilia Clarke (undisclosed role) and Chewbacca in the movie's growing main cast.
