Hugh Jackman is Hesitant With Mutant Retirement For a Hopeful DEADPOOL / WOLVERINE Movie

Let's be honest before we get into this post in saying that having actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman together in a potential DEADPOOL / WOLVERINE team-up movie could easily be Fox's first ever $1 billion Marvel mutant movie. DEADPOOL made nearly $800 million worldwide and THE WOLVERINE brought in over $414M, so do the math.

The actors are close friends and surely they would love to don their super hero counterparts for this. Over the past few weeks, Reynolds has been very vocal about his desire for Deadpool to co-star with Wolverine and that noise seems to only get louder as the days go by. This seems to be Reynolds' way of orchestrating fans to get really hyped for this hopeful movie which will put more pressure on Jackman to put his mutant retirement on hold for one more movie, after March's LOGAN opens in theaters.

Jackman has been quiet on the topic of delaying his Wolverine retirement, until now. In an interview with Variety, Jackman made his first quote about it.

"I’m hesitating, because I could totally see how that’s the perfect fit," Jackman says. "But the timing may be wrong."

There may be a glimmer of hope. And yet, in the same interview, Reynolds is still putting even more pressure on Jackman to reconsider his mutant retirement.

“I have no
idea if I can change his mind,” Reynolds says.
“It’s the audience: I would exclusively exploit that relationship to get Hugh back for another one.”

Basically, the fans need to start and/or continue to beg Jackman to do a movie like this with Reynolds and the best way to do that would be on social media. You can tweet at Jackman's Twitter account (here) or post comments urging him to do one more movie with Reynolds' Deadpool on his Facebook page (here).
