Despite Recent Rumors Surrounding THE BATMAN, Ben Affleck Confirms Commitment to Directing it

If Ben Affleck thought taking on the role of Batman, as well as writing and directing the solo movie THE BATMAN was going to be easy, he was wrong as the pressure is bigger than anything he's faced in his career. That pressure that DC fans are placing on him needs to be redirected into being more patient.

In November 2016, a rumor hit the web claiming there were issues with THE BATMAN script. Affleck was, and has been, actively working on getting the script to be the best it can be so he is happy with it. When he is happy, then he can move forward from development into pre-production for the eagerly awaited solo movie.

Then there's the last 24-36 hours there's been another online rumor claiming more issues with THE BATMAN to the point it might not start filming this spring and it could be pushed back to a summer shooting schedule. Again, these have all been rumors without confirmation from any large Hollywood news outlet.

Affleck has heard these rumors and when he was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live he addressed them while confirming he is still planning to be the director of THE BATMAN.

“I’m gonna direct the next Batman, we’re workin’ on it. It’s one of those things that’s really frustrating because like with Live by Night, it took me a year and a half to write it and get it ready and I worked really hard, it’s just nobody gave a shit. No one was like ‘Where’s Live by Night?!’ But with Batman I keep getting the like, ‘Where’s the fucking Batman?!’ and I’m like ‘Bro I’m workin’, give me a second!”

So there you go. Just give Affleck some time and be patient because he is committed and working on it right now. Here's the video.
