Ben Affleck Wants a More Comfortable Batsuit For Better Efficiency When Directing THE BATMAN

It's not easy being Batman. Going back to the days of Tim Burton's Batman movies, stories have been written about how uncomfortable the Batman suit, cape and cowl can be for an actor. Michael Keaton had to deal with it and, more recently, Christian Bale had complaints about it and not being able to fully turn his head while wearing the cowl.

Ben Affleck is now sharing similar feelings about his version of the Batsuit. He spoke to USA Today about why it is so important to be redesigned for his solo film, THE BATMAN.

"I know what’s it's like to be in the suit. We’ll have to modify the suit to make it a little bit easier to put on and take off. When you are in it, you can be sweating, crazy and exhausted, do your part and walk away. But when you’re a director, you can’t walk away. You have to be there for everybody. Chief among the challenges of doing Batman, will be finding a suit that’s more comfortable."

This is a legit complaint by Affleck because he is not only going to be in the suit when acting, but then he has to go directly behind the camera as the director of THE BATMAN. When he goes to his director's chair, it makes a lot of sense for him to keep (most of) the Batsuit on, especially if he has another scene coming up. Having to take the suit on and off over and over again is not efficient as the leading actor and director of this movie because that will waste a lot of time. In past cases, a Batsuit can take 30 minutes to an hour to put on and also to remove.

If Affleck can help create a better Batsuit then fans may see one of the most streamlined Batman suits ever seen in a movie when the cameras eventually begin rolling later this year for THE BATMAN.
