Now in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 fans will see a baby Groot who is more or less a toddler. Once again voiced by actor Vin Diesel, it is still unknown if baby Groot will have Diesel's deep voice or if he will sound like Diesel after inhaling a bunch of helium.
Last month — and we here at DailySuperHero.com will openly admit that this little tidbit snuck past us; better late than never — the actor spoke with Collider and did a little teasing about baby Groot in next year's highly anticipated sequel.
"He couldn’t be more naive as Baby Groot. I always think of the Groot that we saw on the first Guardians as a college-level Groot, so he’s not fully grown yet, but he’s a man. And once he sacrifices himself at the end of the movie, now he has to start all over, so to speak, but we’re gonna see this goofy, adorable, baby Groot thing running around the screen and just learning as he goes.”
Based on what has been seen and heard so far, it won't be hard at all to not fall in love with the little guy even more. And it's a foregone conclusion that Marvel, and Disney, will have a ton of cute and adorable baby Groot merchandise coming in 2017.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 releases on May 5, 2017.
