Today, DailySuperHero.com is looking for a new beat writer to cover The CW's DC show LEGENDS OF TOMORROW. Our previous beat writer has seen his personal and professional schedule prevent him from continuing his coverage of the series and with Season 2 set to debut we have a need for a new writer.
Standardized recaps and/or reviews of new episodes are not wanted and your coverage should be something not found on other websites. While you should do some recap tropes you will need to add your own opinion, theories, predictions of upcoming events, potential effects of something big that happened, etc., etc. to your weekly post.
If you are brought on your main requirement is to provide one article per week while the show is airing and in-season. When the show is not in-season, then you're responsible for posting a few articles about your show with speculation, opinion, greatest moments of the past season, etc. Your weekly contribution while in-season should be ready for publishing within 48 hours of a new episode airing.
If you have interest, please email thedailysuperhero@gmail.com so we can begin a line of communication. Please send your writing resume, or link to your LinkedIn page, in your initial email along with a short recap of your writing past and passion for covering LEGENDS OF TOMORROW.
If there's interest based on your past experience, a sample post assignment may be sent out to you within 1-3 business days of your email being sent. Please note: If you are requested to provide a sample post, that sample post may also qualify for publishing on DailySuperHero.com regardless of if you are brought on to cover that beat. Signing a basic writer contract will also be required.
While this is not a paid gig it will be resume worthy if you are brought on. DailySuperHero.com has editorial experience, basic editorial policies in place, as well as some instruction to improve your work to make sure you can provide clean copy that doesn't need much editing each week.
I look forward to hearing from those who are interested and the cutoff date for applying is the end of the day on October 9, 2016. So at quickly because we need to move fast to find someone (hopefully) before the new season begins.
Finally, below is a link to our other writers' perspectives of writing for DailySuperHero.com, in case you have any concerns about this being a non-paid gig.
