SUICIDE SQUAD Has Surpassed $500 Million at the Worldwide Box Office in 13 Days

To say SUICIDE SQUAD is an undisputed hit is not accurate when considering the critical panning it took before its release earlier this month. But financially, SUICIDE SQUAD is making money to the tune of over $500 million in the worldwide box office, via Variety.

Right now, SUICIDE SQUAD has an estimated $509M in the worldwide box office after Wednesday's sales estimates are in. The breakdown is $238M domestically and $271M overseas.

Last weekend, the villain ensemble movie saw nearly as big of a second weekend drop-off (67-percent) as BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE had (69-percent drop) but the film looks to continue bringing in the cash this upcoming weekend as competition is minimal outside of the surprise animated R-rated hit SAUSAGE PARTY.

Despite less-than-positive reviews for Warner Bros.' first three DC Extended Universe connected franchises, all three have made enough money so the studio can continue moving forward with their super hero tentpoles. BATMAN V. SUPERMAN took in over $872M and MAN OF STEEL brought in over $668M worldwide, respectively.

Whether or not SUICIDE SQUAD can make more than MAN OF STEEL remains unknown right now, but it could get close in the coming weeks.
