Giancarlo Esposito and John Krasinski Want Marvel Roles So Here's Guesses as to Who They Should Portray

Editorial: Lots of actors talk about wanting a super hero role since Hollywood is fueled by these blockbuster movies. Recently, actors Giancarlo Esposito (BREAKING BAD) and John Krasinski (THE OFFICE) has recently spoke out about their interest in Marvel super hero roles.

First, Esposito told ComicBook that he was offered a role by Marvel TV but he turned it down because he wants a role in a Marvel Studios movie instead.

If we were to take a wild guess as to a role, or roles, Esposito could be good at in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) he could be an interesting pick as either Norman Osborn in a future Spider-Man movie or perhaps even The Daily Bugle's J. Johan Jameson.

There's been two white actors who have been Osborn in the last two Spider-Man franchises so having Esposito take over the role only further diversifies the MCU. And the same could be said for Esposito as Jameson. Actor J.K. Simmons played Jameson brilliantly in director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy so it could be a smart move to change Jameson's race with Esposito in that role. (Note: some fans will hate these choices because they are not traditional, but get with the times and if an actor works in a role then skin color should never matter.)

Next up is Krasinski, who not only auditioned for Steve Rogers / Captain America before Chris Evans landed the role but he told Collider that he is still interested in working with Marvel.

Our best guess for Krasinski would be Marc Spector a.k.a. Moon Knight. Moon Knight is a very dark figure, who ironically wears all white at night, and a great fit in the more gritty world of Netflix's Marvel universe. Krasinski as Spector could be a good fit as long as he can play a damaged character who has a personality disorder in the comic book world.
