Taking an Early Look into SUPERGIRL Season 2

DCTV had a very strong showing at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 last weekend. SUPERGIRL had a several reveals as to what will be going on when it returns for Season 2 on The CW this fall.

We have a few new cast members that are joining. Of course, Tyler Hoechlin, will be joining the cast as Superman, Supergirl’s cousin. Word is that although they are family, both have different ways that they handle situations and that will definitely bring some tension.

1970’s icon, Lynda Carter, will be playing the President of the United States. Obviously there to deal with the whole near Kryptonian invasion from last season. Piece of cake — she is was Wonder Woman.

Ian Gomez will be playing a pivotal part at Catco as Snapper Carr as the editor-in-chief. This brings into question whether or not Cat Grant will still appear, given the move from CBS to The CW. Time will only tell.

Last but not least, the most recent addition to Season 2 will be CW alum, Chris Wood, notably seen on The Vampire Diaries. The past weekend's SDCC panel revealed one of the biggie cliffhangers of last season. Chris will be the mysterious person / alien in the pod that was found by Kara and the Martian Manhunter. [Cue the 'Dun Dun Dah!' sound effect.] No word yet on if he’s a friend or foe, but given that Chris will be a regular this season, he is sure to make an impact on Kara.

There will be more focus on the supporting characters as well. We will be able to see more of Alex and what her personal life is like and Winn truly realizing what a computer whiz he is.

Although it's already been hinted towards after the hit that was THE FLASH / SUPERGIRL episode, there was a confirmation of a huge four-show crossover featuring SUPERGIRL, ARROW, THE FLASH and LEGENDS OF TOMORROW. DCTV is taking over folks.

Between dealing with alien pods, famous cousins, kidnapped father’s and other Earth’s, Season 2 is sure to be a whirlwind. SUPERGIRL will return on October 10 on The CW.
