SDCC 2016: Descriptions of LUKE CAGE Clips Shown During the Netflix and Marvel Panel

Not only did Netflix and Marvel reveal news about DAREDEVIL Season 3, IRON FIST and THE DEFENDERS, but they brought the goods with them for LUKE CAGE since it debuts on the streaming service on September 30.

The following information is from Marvel's Live Blog of the panel and we have pieces things together in the following brief descriptions of four clips shown to the crowd for the upcoming season of LUKE CAGE:

Clip No. 1:

This scene is an extended take of the gym sequence previously released with a man thrown through a door followed by Luke walking behind. He then calls out a goon and starts tossing the baddies around. The footage previously seen then takes place, but this time Luke is throwing goons out windows. Luke walks into an office and asks where Cottonmouth’s guns are. "What? You think you can go after everyone?” a goon says... “I think I can,” Luke replies. Luke threatens to throw the goon out a window and into a river, “You see, it’s the impact that kills you. It crushes your lungs, then the water pours in and it’s a terrible way to go.” The gangster gives up the guns easily. Luke grabs a hoodie and asks if it comes in a double XL size.

Clip No. 2:

This clip is all about the series' villains. Enter Cottonmouth’s bar, and the villains is having a tantrum. He’s using a bat to destroy the place out of anger. Black Mariah yells and him to stop him and one of Cottonmouth’s goons says a cop is at the door. It's the dialogue between Cottonmouth and Black Mariah that is the focus in this clip.

Clip No. 3:

An introduction to Misty Knight becomes a make-out (or maybe a seduction) scene between her and Luke.

Clip No. 4:
More villainy as Cottonmouth, a.ka. Cornell Stokes, is in a room with a portrait of Notorious B.I.G. behind him. “Everybody wants to be the king,” he says. Stokes begins inflicting pain on a person which is quite intense with a bit of goriness to it.
