JUSTICE LEAGUE: Ben Affleck Talks BATMAN, More Detective Work, New Vehicles and Solo Movie Hints

Last week Warner Bros. invited several websites to visit the London set of JUSTICE LEAGUE. And lots of information was revealed about Batman, including some teases from Ben Affleck. [The following info is sourced from Collider.]

Batman is at the heart of JUSTICE LEAGUE. The most stripped down version of this movie's story is Bruce Wayne / Batman assembling a group of heroes, learning what it means to be a hero and working together as a team in preparation to protect the planet from a coming threat. The other big reason that Batman seeks out other super powered heroes to to honor Superman because he feels he did not do that when Superman was alive and this is just Batman's why to make up for that.

Ben Affleck says Batman is “a little bit more sardonic, humor, a little more irony. He’s on a little more man on a mission this time. As opposed to like he was so full of anger because of what happened at the Black Zero Event. That kind of character, that sort of rage that possessed him. And now he’s on a mission to get this group together.
“[T]he world’s greatest detective aspect of Batman is more present in this story than it was in the last one, and will probably be expanded upon further in a Batman movie that I would do. I think all the great Batman stories are, at their heart, detective stories.
"[There is] room for more humor. It’s not going to be – DC movies I think, by their nature are a little more – gothic, or mythic rather, excuse me, than some comic book movies are. But that movie was very dark and heavy because it was really rooted in Dark Knight Returns which is a heavy, dark book. And this is not that.”

Regarding Affleck's solo BATMAN movie, he straight up said he is still working on the script and since he's been on the side of movies where its script wasn't 100-percent, he doesn't want that to happen for his solo movie.

Side note: It has been reported that Commissioner Gordon, played by J.K. Simmons, will have a more classic look and mirror the version seen in BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES.

There will be new vehicles for Batman in JUSTICE LEAGUE. One is called the Flying Fox which is a huge ship that can carry the Batmobile, which itself will have upgrades. Also, a vehicle called the Knightcrawler is debut which has a similar body style like the Batmobile but with "spider-like legs" instead of wheels to traverse the worst terrain.

There will be two Batsuits in JUSTICE LEAGUE with one similar to the one seen in BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE with some armor plating upgrades and the other will have a slightly different cowl as well as amplifies his strength to compensate for past Bat-injuries.

There is a ton of more info revealed from the JUSTICE LEAGUE set visit and you can read all of it on Collider by clicking right here.

JUSTICE LEAGUE releases on November 17, 2017.
