X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Post-Credits Scene Revealed

***This post contains SPOILERS for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.***

***You've been warned.***

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE releases domestically in about a week and a half from today and while many online news outlets, including The Daily SuperHero, have already seen an early screening of the film the post-credits scene was not revealed to early press viewings in order to maintain some secrecy even though the marketing, producer Simon Kinberg and director Bryan Singer have all been spoiling too much of the movie. (WHY!?!)

The next spoiler reveal for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is about the mysterious post-credits scene reveal and has been provided by the website BleedingCool.

"We see a besuited man walking through the remains of the Weapon X clean-up programme, removing the blood, bodies and bullets. And retrieving vials of Wolverine’s blood labelled Weapon X. And placing them into his briefcase which contains other vials of differing colours. Slamming shut, it is labelled ESSEX CORP."

This implies at least two things. The first is that those vials of Wolverine's blood could be used to create Laura Kinney (a.k.a. X-23) in an upcoming movie. There's already been rumors how she could appear in WOLVERINE 3, however, and if this is true then you don't have to worry about the age issue since X-23 defies the aging process just the same as Wolverine. If Fox is thinking about replacing Hugh Jackman's Wolverine with the female version of the character from the comic books then this could work, at least on paper and in theory. And quite honestly this is the best route to take since finding a young male actor to fill these shoes might be too much pressure on the shoulders of any actor and waiting several years before trying to recast the role is probably for the best.

The second implication made is that Nathanial Essex is coming soon into the X-Men movie universe. Non-comic readers might not be familiar with this name but they may be more familiar with the other name he goes by in the comics as Mr. Sinister. Let the speculation and theories begin!
