Zack Snyder Thinks Ben Affleck Will Further Develop His Solo BATMAN Movie Script After Filming JUSTICE LEAGUE

Last week The Daily SuperHero posted an editorial stating how Warner Bros. and DC Films should consider setting the Ben Affleck-written solo BATMAN movie for a release in 2018 (see that post link below). This way Batman will have an appearance in a movie every year from now through 2019. That list includes: BATMAN V. SUPERMAN, a SUICIDE SQUAD cameo this summer, JUSTICE LEAGUE in 2017, a potential solo BATMAN movie in 2018 and JUSTICE LEAGUE 2 in 2019.

This sounds like it could be the plan as JUSTICE LEAGUE director Zack Snyder spoke with the YouTube channel Joe.ie about Affleck and his solo BATMAN movie script.

"I keep working on him, he's always said he's a one movie at a time guy. He's finishing editing his film, Live By Night and then he comes to Justice League and then after that, I think he's going to try and develop the story. Then we'll see if he likes it."

Snyder also thinks Affleck is very keen on directing his solo BATMAN script, too.

"Oh yeah, for sure. I think he would. I think that's kind of the prerequisite, hopefully, for him doing [the film]."

Right now it sounds like there is a lot of interest in Affleck's solo BATMAN movie, especially after his great performance as the Caped Crusader in BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. But fans will have to wait a little bit as it won't get any focus from Affleck until after he is done filming JUSTICE LEAGUE. The implication here is that if Warner Bros. is to set a hopeful 2018 release for a solo BATMAN movie, it probably won't be until sometime in fall of 2018 at the earliest.
