NEW MUTANTS Reportedly Has its Mutant Roster and it's Targeting a Few Actors, Plus May Have X-Men Cameos

Fox has yet to officially set a date or announce that NEW MUTANTS has been green lit, but all the signs are pointing that the movie has indeed been given the go-ahead to move forward into pre-production.
Yesterday, producer Simon Kinberg started teasing NEW MUTANTS, which was a big sign the film project was moving forward. And today, HitFix is reporting they not only know which Marvel mutants will make up the NEW MUTANTS roster but they have word on a couple of actors who are being targeted, too.
First up, let's look at the alleged roster.
It seems like Wolfsbane, Magik, Cannonball, Sunspot and Mirage will fill out the team. As of right now, HitFix claims Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams might land, or has already landed, the role of Wolfsbane and Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) is been eyed for Magik.
The site also states actor James McAvoy will have a some role in NEW MUTANTS as Charles Xavier as well as Alexandria Shipp will reprise her role from X-MEN: APOCALYPSE as Storm. Fox has yet to comment or confirm any of this, as of the publishing of this post.
In case you're not familiar with these NEW MUTANTS, here's a quick breakdown of each:
-Wolfsbane is a shapeshifting werewolf who can take the form of a wolf in both werewolf and humaniod form.
-Magik is the younger sister of Colossus who has a mystic soulsword and armor and the ability for inter-dimensional teleportation.
-Cannonball has the ability of jet propulsion and can fly.
-Sunspot was last seen in the future timeline of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST but since McAvoy might be in NEW MUTANTS, they'll have to cast a much younger actor since it'll take place well before the future events of Days of Future Past.
-And finally, Mirage who has psionic and telepathic abilities as well as superhuman strength.
Even though none of this is confirmed, yet, there's a very good chance a big announcement regarding the NEW MUTANTS movie is coming very soon from Fox. Stay tuned.
