HAN SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Confirmed to Have Chewbacca in it

This should have been assumed since HAN SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY was announced last summer, but now it is confirmed. In the young Han Solo standalone movie, directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and written by Lawrence Kasdan, Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed (via TheWrap) Chewbacca will be in the movie.

“We have others in the works, including one, which is an origin story about Han Solo and Chewy,” he continued. “And that’ll come after ‘Star Wars 8’ in 2018. And then there’ll be possibly more thereafter.”

It can be assumed the life debt Chewie owes Han could be explored in this movie.

HAN SOLO has not yet found its young actor to fill the shoes of Harrison Ford, but it will release on May 25, 2018.
