Star Wars Spin-Off Films Likely to be Disney's Way of Getting Darth Vader Back on the Big Screen

Widely regarded as one of the best villains ever to grace the big screen, Darth Vader is a pop culture icon. Now that Disney owns Star Wars there's been a thought running through my head that the 'A Star Wars Story' movies, formerly known as the 'Star Wars Anthology' movies, is Disney's way to get Darth Vader back on the big screen.
When it was announced that ROGUE ONE, and then HAN SOLO, would take place before STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE it seemed pretty obvious (to me) that Disney and Lucasfilm were making these spin-off movies to not only tell more Star Wars stories, but as a means to get Vader back in theaters.

A rumor is circulating the web claiming Vader could very well appear in ROGUE ONE. This rumor is coming from the website MakingStarWars, who post lots of rumors and scoops, so take this latest rumor with a grain of salt. However, they also state that James Earl Jones has been signed on to reprise the most recognized voice-over role by someone not named Morgan Freeman.

The rumor as it is being reported:

"We have it on good authority that the Darth Vader costume as seen in Star Wars: A New Hope has been meticulously recreated to match A New Hope perfectly. By all accounts the costume is so close to the original everyone is very happy and very impressed with the work done by Brian Muir and his team.
"The coolest part is we’ve learned that James Earl Jones, the voice, the heart and soul of Darth Vader will return to speak Darth Vader’s lines in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."

Every Star Wars fan should be excited at the thought of Vader possibly appearing in ROGUE ONE, and potentially HAN SOLO in 2018 as well.

ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY releases on December 16, 2016.
