For STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, The Daily SuperHero Will Unplug From the Internet and Social Media on December 16-17

In today's world of digital media and news this might be one of the rare times you'll ever see a website willingly and publicly tell you that it will be offline and on total Internet and social media blackout for two straight days. This isn't because of a new website design launch or any other technical work being done to the site behind the scenes. This is being done due to the press and media embargoes for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS lifting on Wednesday December 16.

To be exact, the review and social media embargo set by Disney and Lucasfilm lifts at 12:01 a.m. PT on Wednesday December 16. And at this time The Daily SuperHero is going dark for approximately 48 straight hours.

This is being done because I don't want to be spoiled by any review or tweet or Facebook post that spoils ANYTHING about this movie. I am being selfish by doing this. But I want to completely unplug from the 'Net until I see the movie and see everything, without post-embargo spoilers, while sitting in my theater seat on Thursday night.

So let this be your Public Service Announcement that The Daily SuperHero will be off-the-grid — albeit still online just without any new content for these days — on December 16 and 17. The site and I will be back online Friday December 18 but there will be no spoiler posts or reviews for this movie published to the site until Monday December 21.

Sacrificing lots of web traffic and new content page hits will totally be worth it so I can completely enjoy the movie spoiler-free in the theater. And you should consider unplugging and enjoy a spoiler-free movie experience for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS as well.

Thank you for supporting The Daily SuperHero with your continued readership,
