THOR: RAGNAROK - Marvel Studios Reportedly Enters Negotiations With Director Taika Waititi

Marvel Studios is known for coming out of left field with some of their director choices. They did it with Jon Favreau for IRON MAN, the Russo Brothers for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and most recently with Jon Watts for the next SPIDER-MAN movie.

Well, per TheWrap, it seems like they're continuing this trend and are reportedly targeting Flight of the Conchords director Taika Waititi to direct THOR: RAGNAROK.

Waititi is no stranger to working with Disney as he wrote the script for the 2016 animated movie Moana. Seems like his Disney work caught Marvel Studios' eye and they've reportedly begun negotiating with the director for the next Thor film.

THOR: RAGNAROK will begin filming in the last half of 2016 and releases on November 3, 2017.
