Scarlet Witch is "Coming into Her Own" in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

Scarlet Witch is an Avenger. After she got 'the talk' from Hawkeye in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON she walked out 'that door' and started kicking some Ultron drone ass as an Avenger. At the end of the movie she was seen as part of a new Avengers team with Captain America, Black Widow, War Machine, Falcon and Vision.

Next up, she's in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR and actor Elizabeth Olsen teased Scarlet Witch's character development while talking with USA Today.

"She’s coming into her own and starting to understand and have conflict with how she wants to use her abilities. It’s a dramatic conflict within her and obviously there’s conflict within the (Avengers) as well. I like that they didn’t release Scarlet Witch in the promo photos for the teams — it places her as being a wild card, and I like her having that kind of edge that people don’t know what she’s capable of. They can fear her because she is so incredibly powerful in a different way than the rest of the heroes for the most part. I like playing that role within the gang."

Olsen is right because Scarlet Witch is not in any of the previously leaked Civil War promo images showing Team Captain America and Team Iron Man so she does appear to be a wild card. Or perhaps she is neutral because she is a new team member and doesn't have any allegiance to one side or the other... yet.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR releases on May 6, 2016.
