BLADE Movie (or Series) Starring His Daughter is Rumored to be Coming From Marvel

Chalk this up to rumor right now because nothing has been hinted at or confirmed by Marvel that anything related to BLADE is coming from them in live action form. Well, unless you consider the fact actor Wesley Snipes has been talking to the media about how he's met with Marvel and spoke about BLADE and he has hinted he definitely has some kind of super hero project in the works soon.

According to BleedingCool, a Blade comic book relaunch was initially scheduled for this fall as a part of the 'All-New All-Different' Marvel comics, but it's been delayed "for an unspecified time." The site's sources tell them this is due to Marvel having plans for a BLADE movie which will star Blade's daughter Fallon Grey; the comic was set to star Fallon as well.

Here's the synopsis for the delayed Blade comic:

"Fallon Grey is a sixteen year old girl from rural Oregon. Nominated for Prom Queen, Captain of the debate team, most popular girl in her class. But there is another side to Fallon. A feeling like there’s something more inside of her. When terror strikes her small town, she’ll find out just how right she was. As fearsome supernatural forces hunt Fallon, she’ll come face to face with something even more shocking than the monsters on her tail. Eric Brooks…Blade…her father?! And in each other, they’ll discover the purpose they’ve each been struggling to find."

Could this be the Marvel role Snipes keeps teasing about? Maybe a return as an older Blade in a father figure role?

It's unknown if this will be for a BLADE movie or for perhaps a another Netflix series — which seems the best fit for a more mature rated vampire series.

Finally, here's cover and concept art for the delayed Blade comic (also via BC).
