This is a rumor as of right now because it is originally reported by a Honk Kong tabloid website Apple Daily (via CB). According to this rumor report, martial arts actor Donnie Yen has secured a role as a Jedi in STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII. The rumor also states he will be filming scenes with Han Solo as soon as next month.
Again, this is from a tabloid site so take this with a grain of salt and the site claims producers were deciding between Yen and Jet Li but went with Yen because his price was half as much as Li's.
STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII is being written and directed by Rian Johnson (Looper) and releases in theaters on May 26, 2017.
