Two weeks ago a report came out saying actor Chris Pine (Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness) was not up for the role of being the love interest in WONDER WOMAN but he was actually up for the role of Hal Jordan in a GREEN LANTER reboot. Shortly before that there was another report stating Green Lantern John Stewart would co-star alongside of Hal Jordan in the reboot.
Tyrese Gibson has recently been teasing he might be John Stewart, but Pine has been quiet about all of it. Now, another report is corroborating this rumor that Pine is up for the role of Hal Jordan, per BirthMoviesDeath.
"...[T]his weekend I talked to someone close to Chris Pine who confirmed that the actor is in fact up for Hal Jordan... But most of all the source told me that, as of end of business [last] Thursday, Pine hadn't officially signed on to anything - despite Warner Bros wanting him to come out on stage at Comic Con this weekend."
Sounds more and more like Pine might be your new Hal Jordan in a GREEN LANTERN reboot but will Warner Bros. be able to announce this during their big San Diego Comic-Con 2015 presentation this Saturday? Stay tuned...
