BATMAN Movie to be Reportedly Co-Written by DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns and Ben Affleck, Who Will Also Direct

Here's news some big news for San Diego Comic-Con 2015 week. According to Deadline, the team who will develop the next solo BATMAN movie has reportedly been decided.

Ben Affleck and DC Entertainment chief creative officer Geoff Johns is said to co-write the script for a standalone BATMAN movie. Affleck will obviously star in the film and will reportedly direct the movie too.

The Hollywood trade website writes:

"...[S]tudio sources tell me that Affleck and Johns are well in synch and have more than found their rhythm. In fact, they are likely to turn in a script before the end of the summer.
"The [next] Batman movie would shoot after [Affleck finishes filming his next movie], and the plot would reflect the Batman character that emerges after Batman v. Superman and Justice League, the latter of which comes out November 17, 2017."

Sounds like the next BATMAN movie is still not coming out until summer 2018 at the earliest. But a BATMAN movie is coming out nevertheless.
