Rumor: Will Ben Affleck Direct a Batman Reboot Possibly Titled THE BATMAN With a Release in November 2018?

With the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con International less than two weeks away it makes sense that more and more Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment rumors are beginning to hit the web. First, two rumors about the GREEN LANTERN reboot — read those here and here — and now a rumor about a possible BATMAN solo (reboot) movie.

Previously, there's been some rumblings around the Internet about a potential BATMAN solo movie coming sometime after BATMAN V. SUPERMAN starring Affleck, who could also direct it. Today, a new rumor emerges (via Latino-Review) bringing this rumor back to the headlines as well as claiming that BvS writer Chris Terrio might write it as well.

"...[A]iming for November 2018... Chris Terrio, who has writing credits on Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice and has been announced as a writer for both Justice League films will write the movie for Ben Affleck to direct himself in. It’s still called The Batman..."

THE BATMAN huh? Hopefully that's just a working title right now. Personally, I would love a title reflecting Batman's investigative side like "BATMAN: WORLD'S GREATEST DETECTIVE." But that title will probably never happen because it doesn't sound dark enough.

Stay tuned because with SDCC around the corner perhaps Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment will officially announce a solo Batman movie at their big Hall H presentation.
