Female ANT-MAN Co-Stars on Paul Rudd: "Everyone Was Geeked Out by Chris Pratt, But Watch Out"

Chris Pratt may be the hottest male actor name in Hollywood right now because he has the look, funny demeanor and big box office production, but there might be a new leading man about to breakthrough soon. Paul Rudd is known for his comedic roles, quirky characters and supporting gigs in his past films but ANT-MAN is really his big attempt at going mainstream as a true lead.

Pratt made the transition from supporting character actor to leading man with the help of tuning his body into a muscular machine and Rudd is looking to be the next by doing the same. Rudd spoke to Yahoo! about his new eating habits since signing his 5-picture deal with Marvel Studios.

"I just exercised and ate well — it’s part of the deal. Proteins, and not really any carbs, no sugars, that kind of stuff. I was on a schedule with specific foods at specific times."

Rudd's two female co-stars, Evangeline Lilly and Judy Greer, also chimed in on how Rudd might be taking that next step to super stardom, similar to Pratt.

"I think people will be a bit surprised to see him with a six-pack,” co-star Evangeline Lilly (Hope van Dyne) said with a grin. “He’s known as that burger-eating, beer-guzzling all-American Average Joe, and people love him for that. But this will be new for people, and the ladies are going to love that.
“I know everyone was geeked out by [GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY star] Chris Pratt, but watch out,” Judy Greer, who plays Maggie the ex-wife of Rudd's character Scott Lang, said. “Just saying... Paul looks fine.”

It's pretty much considered 'The Marvel Studios Bump' when an actor signs on for a main role in any of their films because it leads to more movie gigs with bigger roles and even bigger paydays. This is something Rudd may not have accounted for when signing on to be Ant-Man, but he most likely will achieve it once ANT-MAN is out on July 17 and bringing in loads of box office cash.
