Chadwick Boseman Briefly Talks About BLACK PANTHER Prep, Inspiration and the T'Chaka Casting Rumor

Right off the bat I'll be honest in telling you that actor Chadwick Boseman doesn't reveal anything Earth-shattering about BLACK PANTHER or his involvement in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR in this post. Although this is really the first time he's talked about the role since he was announced as Black Panther, last October.

At the AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON premiere, MTV caught up with Boseman and while he could not disclose much about Civil War — Black Panther will have an introductory role in the film — he did briefly touch upon his research and preparation to be T'Challa.

"I'm excited about the preparation. I try not to see the whole thing, and just to see the parts that I’m on right now. Just these small parts are exciting."

Boseman then said he's reading lots of comics, but he's also found some inspiration for his character in "history and science" in order to ground the Black Panther in reality. Lastly, the actor was asked about the rumor that Ernie Hudson has reportedly been buying comics and working out because he's targeted for the role of T'Chaka, the father of Black Panther, and Boseman said he thinks Hudson looks like he could play his dad.
