Rumors: JOKER to be Scarred and Ripped in SUICIDE SQUAD, Plus HUGO STRANGE Might Appear Too

Even though Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is released in theaters first, there has been a buzz building around the next DC Cinematic Universe. Suicide Squad comes out several months after BvS and it starts filming in Toronto next month.

Yesterday, a rumor report revealed that Deathstroke could be making his pre-villain appearance in the movie and Joe Manganiello (True Blood) might be in the running for the role. Today, a new rumor report revolves around actor Jared Leto's portrayal of the Joker.

According to Umberto Gonzalez of Latino-Review.com, Letos' Joker will be based on Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns comic book version.

"He's lean & scarred but his suit does have broad shoulders. Joker works out in his cell like an inmate... He's doing hand stand push ups so it makes sense that Jared Leto said he is putting on weight. He's definitely not skinny, but in fact more muscular. He has bleached skin not make up."

Also revealed is that DC villain Hugo Strange might make an appearance in Suicide Squad even though the character has not been officially revealed and no actor has been cast for the role. Both rumors, for right now, should be taken with a grain of salt until official confirmation has been made by the studio or director David Ayer.

Suicide Squad releases in theaters on August 5, 2016.
