THE FANTASTIC FOUR: First Look at HUMAN TORCH "Containment Suit"

While The Daily SuperHero has been on vacation the past few days — being a one-man owned website sometimes has its issues like when I want to go away to unplug for a few days but that's the way things are when it's just me at the helm — some news has hit the web so it's time to play some catch up while waiting for my flight back home.

Shrouded in mystery due to a lack of official imagery, The Fantastic Four reboot has been met with a tremendous amount of criticism and false info. This shouldn't surprise anyone since the fan base is highly passionate for Marvel's First Family and all they have wanted is some official updates from the studio that this reboot is in a good place.

Well, Collider.com has posted the first official image for The Fantastic Four and its of actor Michael B. Jordan in his Human Torch suit. There is no "4" logo on the above image and it's been reported in the past that they are not super hero suits but the team is wearing "containment suits."

Writer and producer Simon Kinberg also teased the reboot calling it “a hard sci-fi take” which will “fall in line more with a Cronenberg-ian science fiction tale of something horrible happening to your body and [it] transforming out of control."

Kinberg also said how this film will be more about being a family than being about a hero team.

"[Super hero films are] never really exploring what it is to be family… That’s something we really spent a long time talking about and putting into the film. I think that will differentiate us as well from all of the different superheroes and superhero groups out there."

The Fantastic Four releases in theaters on August 7, 2015.
