STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Actor Oscar Isaac Lands Coveted Villain Role in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE



From a galaxy far, far away to a world filled with mutants. Actor Oscar Isaac is the new "it" actor who is landing franchise role after franchise role right now.

In a report by Variety, Isaac has landed the coveted title villain role in X-Men: Apocalypse. Previously rumored to have actor Tom Hardy in the running for the role of Apocalypse, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor will don some blue skin paint as the powerful mutant. Isaac is not the only new addition to the X-Men ensemble movie since new actors will be cast in the roles of Jean Grey, Storm and Cyclops.

X-Men, X2: X-Men United and X-Men Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer is back in the director's chair for X-Men: Apocalypse which will take place in the 80s and be in last film of the 'First Class' trilogy.

X-Men: Apocalypse starts filming in spring 2015, in Montreal, and releases in theaters on May 27, 2016.
