PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5 Will Reportedly Start Production in Australia in Early 2015

I know this isn't super hero movie news but I have to admit that the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is a guilty pleasure of mine so I will cover the fifth addition to the franchise. The first one was fantastic, the second one was solid, the third was a bit much and the fourth was okie dokie. Regardless of my quick-phrased reviews of all its films, I am still looking forward to another go at the franchise because of one man... Captain Jack Sparrow. In my opinion, it is the defining role of actor Johnny Depp's career and his portrayal of the character is brilliant.

But let me get to the point of this post. According to ScreenRant.com, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 — which should still carry the subtitle Dead Men Tell No Tales — will begin filming in Australia in early 2015. Screen Rant writes:

"Queensland Senator George Brandis confirmed the $21.6 million incentive for Pirates of the Caribbean 5 in an official statement, saying this is 'Australia’s largest ever contribution to the financing of a major film' and the production will be the 'largest international feature film' ever shot in Australia. Similarly, Queensland Premier Campbell Newman announced that the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie is expected to bring in $100 million to Queensland and will provide 'thousands of local jobs,' to boot.
"Principal photography on Pirates of the Caribbean 5, as we’ve been hearing in recent months, is now slated to begin in February 2015, with shooting take place both on location in Queensland and in the Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast."

Pirates of the Caribbean 5 is set to release July 7, 2017.
