The Eye of Agamotto Confirms DOCTOR STRANGE is Coming in 2016 and Reveals Basic Synopsis Teaser

If you're not a Doctor Strange fan then you will not understand that headline. But that's okay because you'll know more about Doctor Strange now that Marvel Studios has officially set a release date for November 4, 2017. (Oh yeah, the Eye of Agamotto is the Doctor's source of power and magic.)

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has also teased a brief synopsis of the film over on Marvel.com.

"Doctor Stephen Strange, brilliant neurosurgeon, bit of an arrogant fellow who gets in a car accident and ruins what he thinks are the tools of his trade: his hands.
"In the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the supernatural, that involves everything from quantum mechanics to string theory. The idea of this film is to open up a whole new corner of the cinematic universe. We want to enter, through Strange, the world of parallel dimensions."

Yesterday, it was reported that Marvel Studios has engaged in negotiations with actor Benedict Cumberbatch for the leading role of Doctor Strange but this was not confirmed at the time of the release date announcement.
