James Spader Says ULTRON Will be Both Psychopathic and Humorous in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

You've seen the first official trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. If not, click here to do so. You've seen Ultron's Mark 1 and final 8-foot-tall form. Now let's hear from the Ultron actor himself, James Spader.

Spader spoke with Total Film about his villainous role of Ultron and revealed that even though Ultron is evil, he also has humor due to his child-like side.

"Yes, he is psychopathic. He's really batshit crazy!
"There's a humorous aspect to him, which is something that drew me in from the very first conversation I had with Joss [Whedon]. In many ways he's a child, this character, because he's a brand new being who's just come to be. And yet, through artificial intelligence, he has an incredible capacity for knowledge. So he's a very powerful, smart child."

It may be tough to think about an evil, psychotic robot being funny but when you give him the context that he is literally a child it makes it much easier. Learning about the world around him and his own new self-aware being should make for some humorous moments.

Avengers: Age of Ultron releases in theaters on May 1, 2015.
