DOCTOR STRANGE to Reportedly Film at Pinewood-Shepperton Studios in England

A few months back, rumors claiming that Marvel's Doctor Strange was going to be the studios' untitled release for July 8, 2016 hit the web. Marvel Studios never officially confirmed this release date for Doctor Strange but more information is being reported which supports this potential release date.

According to ScreenDaily.com, Marvel is in negotiations with Pinewood-Shepperton to film Doctor Strange in the United Kingdom in mid-2015. The website wrote the following:

"Marvel Studios is in advanced negotiations to shoot upcoming superhero film Doctor Strange at Pinewood-Shepperton, ScreenDaily understands.
"Preparations on the ground are already in motion with crew being assembled for a move into Shepperton in late 2014/early 2015.
"A tentative shoot date has been mooted for May 2015 with Marvel having reportedly dated the film’s release for July 8, 2016."

Once again, Marvel Studios has not commented or confirmed any of this. However, Doctor Strange is most definitely in deep development with director Scott Derrickson and writer Jon Spaihts officially attached to the movie.

Marvel is also said to be waiting on any official announcement(s) for Doctor Strange once they have their leading actor signed on. Actor Joaquin Phoenix is reportedly in final talks for the leading role but allegeldy might have some reservations about working on such an effects-heavy film and signing a long-term, multi-picture deal that Marvel requires all its actors to sign.
