STAR WARS Spin-Off Rumor: What is RED FIVE and Why Was it Shown at aPrivate Hasbro Presentation?

Star Wars Episode VII is currently filming in Abu Dhabi. And while J.J. Abrams' Star Wars production gets rolling in front of the cameras, there's the mystery of what the spin-off Star Wars movies will be in the coming years.

Episode VII is releasing in 2015, Episode VIII in 2017 and Episode IX in 2019. But there are spin-offs planned for release in between the next main trilogy movies. According to a report from the website Star Wars Union, Hasbro held a private presentation which may have also confirmed the three spin-off films.

The report states in 2016 there will be a Boba Fett solo movie, in 2018 one simply called Solo (no 'Han' included) and in 2020 something called Red Five. A Fett solo film is a no-brainer.

But what is the new addition, Red Five?

Red Five is the call sign Luke Skywalker used in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope when flying his X-Wing during the attack on the first Death Star. It seems like this could be a spin-off about a squadron of X-Wing fighters.

Obviously, Hasbro needs to know what the future holds for Star Wars movies in advance so they can prepare new toys to hit store shelves along with a movie's release. Stay tuned as more information about the spin-offs and Red Five are surely coming soon, if this leak is indeed true.
