Editorial: A SECRET AVENGERS Movie is Needed in a Post CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER World

Captain America: The Winter Soldier has changed everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If you haven't seen it yet, shame on you and stop reading now but come back when you have seen it.

Those who have seen it know it changed a lot. SHIELD was infiltrated by Hydra, Nick Fury is officially off-the-grid and legally dead by faking his death and Steve Rogers, Falcon and Black Widow took down SHIELD and exposed all of their secrets. Meanwhile, Fury isn't really dead and he is off to hunt down what is presumed to be Hydra sleeper cells around the world.

It has already been confirmed that Fury will have nothing more than a glorified cameo in Avengers: Age of Ultron and while it is logical to think that his next big screen outing could be in Captain America 3, how this idea instead.

This may be pure speculation but Marvel Studios should consider a Secret Avengers movie. This would fit perfectly in what is happening in the MCU right now and it would give Fury and others their own movie which can be all about expanding on the spies and espionage theme and movie genre.

Many fans want a solo Hawkeye and/or Black Widow movie(s) but what could be a better film is to have Fury recruit them onto his underground Secret Avengers team. Bring Maria Hill, Agent 13 and maybe a newcomer or two and you have the makings of an interesting concept for a film that could be very James Bond-like. And who wouldn't want to see a James Bond-like Marvel Studios movie starring Fury, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hill, Agent 13 and maybe some others?

Heck, throw in a cameo by Agent Phil Coulson and that will really give fans an intense nerdgasm too. What do you think? Comment below!
