ANT-MAN: Brief Details of Paul Rudd's Scott Lang Character Teased

Marvel's Ant-Man is nearly ready for filming and full production at the new Pinewood Studios facility near Atlanta. Originally slated to begin filming in May, it was recently told to The Daily SuperHero that it will be slightly delayed and its start date has been moved back to July. This shouldn't hurt the Ant-Man release date which is set for July 17, 2015.

While fans wait for filming to begin—and a chance to hopefully see actor Paul Rudd in his Ant-Man suit—Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige spoke to Empire regarding Rudd's portrayal of Scott Lang.

"Look at that origin of the petty crook who comes into contact with a suit and does his best to make good, and then look at someone like Paul Rudd, who can do slightly unsavory things like break into people's houses and still be charming and who you root for and whose redemption you will find satisfaction in."

Those who are familiar with the several versions of Ant-Man in the comic book universe know that Lang, Hank Pym and even Eric O'Grady all have their own respective way of being charming while having a touch of being an unsavory dirtbag too. This is how Ant-Man has been portrayed in the comics for decades now and it sounds like it'll make its way to the big screen as well.
