X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Brainstorming Session Teases Egypt and Brings Back X2: X-MEN UNITED Writers

There are still five months until director Bryan Singer's return to the director's chair of 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise debuts to moviegoers when X-Men Days of Future Past releases in theaters on May 23, 2014. But this isn't the only X-Men movie Singer is working on right now.

Over on his Twitter account—where he loves to tweet tease photos all the time—Singer has again teased X-Men fans. This time it's about his next X-Men film, X-Men: Apocalypse.

"It's snowing in Egypt!," the director teased on Twitter.

For those who do not know, this may not seem like a tease for X-Men: Apocalypse. But those who know the villain know his origin story aligns with the tease, in the comic book universe. While Fox, Singer and newly signed mastermind of putting together a cohesive movie universe Simon Kinberg take tiny bits and pieces from the comic universe, they will most likely adapt and create a new story for the Days of Future Past sequel.

Also it's worth noting Singer did mention screenwriters Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris were also present at this X-Men: Apocalypse brainstorming session. Dougherty and Harris were the writers for X2: X-Men United. This could mean (nothing is confirmed except for the below photo from Singer) they have been hired on to write the first treatment or full script of X-Men: Apocalypse, which is due out in theaters on May 27, 2016.
