2013 Holiday Shopping Season: Boba Fett and Darth Plagueis STAR WARS Figures Are Most Sought After and Rare

The Daily SuperHero would like to wish everyone a Happy Holidays!  Right now we are nearing the end of the holiday shopping season and the procrastinators are starting to panic since they realize they will not be able to find the highly sought after items on their respective holiday lists.

But what are those highly sought after items that are so rare you won't find them now or perhaps ever? The Daily SuperHero asked this question to its Hasbro contact and several toy collectors. The answers are as follows with two Star Wars figures leading the way in popularity, want and rarity.

Star Wars Black Series 6-inch Boba Fett

Arguably the most wanted action figure this holiday is the Series 2 6-inch Boba Fett. Retailing for $19.99, several collectors have mentioned they've had the best luck finding this figure at Target or K-Mart. As of the publishing of this post, this Boba Fett figure is going for upwards of $55 on Amazon.com.

Star Wars Black Series 3.75-inch Darth Plagueis

For the first time, Hasbro has made a figure of Emperor Palpatine's Sith master Darth Plagueis. Because this is the first figure ever, every single Star Wars collector alive is trying to acquire it. Retailing for only $9.99 in stores, if you can find it, several collectors has said they have never seen it in stores. Ever. Yeah, it's that hard to find and why the figure is going for about $40 on Amazon.com right now.

So there you have it. These two have been the hardest to find figures this holiday season, per sources. Of course there are many, many other figures that could have been listed here but then this could be one of the longest posts in history because there are tons of popular toys that are scarce during the holiday shopping season.

Happy toy hunting and Happy Holidays!
