Tom Hiddleston Tears Up When Asked if THOR: THE DARK WORLD is His Last Film as LOKI

There are times when a human being sees something is dear to them when you can see another person get emotional about it. This happened to actor Tom Hiddleston last night at the premiere for Thor: The Dark World.

Speaking with MTV, Hiddleston was asked if this could be his last time on the red carpet as the villain Loki. At first he looked to be jokingly shedding a tear but you can tell in his voice and eyes that he nearly started tearing up at the thought that this could really be his last time as Loki.

Saying the role has changed his life is an understatement since no one outside of British television knew who Hiddleston was prior to being cast as Thor's half-brother and working his way up the super villain totem pole when sending an alien invasion army to New York City in The Avengers. Now back in Thor: The Dark World, Loki teams up with Thor to help fight off Malekith and his Dark Elves in the sequel. (And let's be honest in saying he also has his own agenda in the Thor sequel... it's Loki and that's what he's best at doing!)

Hiddleston has changed the game for movie villains by reprising his role three times now and he has become one of the biggest new names in Hollywood over the last few years because of his portrayal as the God of Mischief. Also because of his popularity Marvel Studios wrote more scenes for Loki during Thor 2 reshoots a couple months back just to give fans more Loki in the sequel.

Marvel knows they have one of the most popular villains to ever grace the big screen and who is perhaps as popular today as Darth Vader ever was in the 70s and 80s. With saying this, there's no way Loki won't be back in a future Marvel film since he still has to face the wrath of failing Thanos in The Avengers.

Is this the end for Loki? Most definitely not so save those tears for another time Mr. Hiddleston. Because you'll be getting a call from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige in the near future. You can bet on that! (And don't forget about the petition by fans to get Loki into his own movie.)
