Is the Millennium Falcon Set Fully Built For STAR WARS EPISODE VII Already?

If there is one thing that writer/director J.J. Abrams likes it's using practical sets pieces to add as much realism as possible to his films. He created the entire bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise along with all the connecting hallways to the bridge for Star Trek Into Darkness. He also took over the parking lot of Dodger Stadium during the baseball offseason to film giant set pieces for his original Star Trek reboot.

This trend continues with Abrams helming Star Wars Episode VII. According to a contributing report from Yahoo! Movies UK, the world's most famous fictional spaceship—you know the one that can make the Kessel run in "less than 12 parsecs"—the Millennium Falcon has reportedly been built and is being transported to Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom.

Per a source close to the production of the film, the Yahoo! Movies contributor wrote:

"A full-scale 1:1 Millennium Falcon has been built as well as the interiors of the ship for filming," they explained. "The Falcon is done - inside and out. The sets were built off-site, ready to move when Lucasfilm/Bad Robot were ready to move into Pinewood."

Who will be piloting the Falcon in the new Star Wars trilogy remains to be seen since actor Harrison Ford has not been confirmed by Lucasfilm or Disney to be returning to Episode VII... yet. Or perhaps it is Han Solo's daughter or son who have been given the Falcon and is the ship's new captain.

Stay tuned as more information about the Millennium Falcon's potential appearance in Star Wars Episode VII is sure to be revealed in the coming months since it is the most famous spaceship in the galaxy.
