IRON MAN 3 Blu Ray Theory: Will a Marvel One-Shot be Announcedat SDCC 2013?

Last week, Marvel.com officially announced the release date (September 24) and special features for Iron Man 3 on Blu Ray and DVD. One of the biggest missing features, in the announcement, was a lack of a Marvel One-Shot short film after rumors circulated saying there would be a One-Shot included on the Blu Ray version.

UPDATE: Per Marvel.com, the One-Shot "Agent Carter" will be included on the Iron Man 3 home release. (Knew it!)

Starting with the Blu Ray release of Thor, Marvel has included a One-Shot with each of their home releases. Thor had The Consultant, Captain America: The First Avenger had A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer and The Avengers has Item 47. (But you all know this.)

One thing that really stands out, regarding the announcement of Iron Man 3, is the lack of showing the reverse side of the packaging. Without seeing the back of the packaging, there's still a chance Marvel will reveal a One-Shot with Iron Man 3. Especially when you take into account that over on Amazon.com, you can see the back of the packaging for the majority of Marvel Studios' films.

Of course this is a theory but one that leads to the assumption that whatever One-Shot may be included with Iron Man 3 could be announced and shown to the fans in Hall H of Marvel's panel at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con. Peggy Carter actor, Hayley Atwell, has already confirmed that she will star in a One-Shot which will show what happened to her character after the events in Captain America: The First Avenger and it will be shown at SDCC. Maybe the Peggy Carter One-Shot will be with Iron Man 3 but it makes more sense to include that with the eventual home release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

As of right now it's all a mystery but until Marvel reveals the back side of Iron Man 3's packaging, there's still some hope a One-Shot will be with included. That is unless the inclusion of the behind-the-scenes special feature for Thor: The Dark World is taking place of a One-Shot.

Definitely stay tuned to this mystery since more could be revealed at Marvel Studios' SDCC panel.
