GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Villain's Ronan the Accuser and Nebula Briefly Detailed

Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy is all about introducing a tremendous amount of new heroes and villains to movie audiences, as well as introducing Marvel's cosmic side of their movie universe. With so much focus on the actual Guardians team, and its group of anti-hero heroes, not much has been said about the film's villains.

This has changed now that villain actors Karen Gillan and Lee Pace have given out a few details about each of their characters. Gillan, who is playing the space pirate Nebula, and Pace, who plays Ronan the Accuser, spoke with AMC Theaters.

"Nebula is the villain of the film," Gillan said. "She's an employee of Thanos and she has a very interesting and complex relationship to the lead female of the film, Gamora."

Pace, in the same interview, quickly touched on Ronan.

"I play Ronan the Accuser, who's an admiral of Thanos," Pace said. "I try to hunt down the Guardians."

With Thanos reportedly making an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy, his team of villains is starting to come together now that we know he has an admiral and a pirate in his employ. This just leaves actor Benicio del Toro's character, the Collector, as the final villain mystery in Marvel's cosmic movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy opens in theaters on August 1, 2014.
